Stories have been handed down throughout the ages, some have never been written down and they are recreated in the storytellers own words, others are written down for posterity. 
 
Generations of youngsters have been entertained by their elders as a way of passing down traditions, teaching moral values or just for amusement and pleasure.

Gary Cordingley [Cornwall] has been a storyteller both nationally and internationally for over 30 years. Aw well as being the southwest rep for the Society of Storytelling he is a multi-talented disciplined professional artist with a background in street theatre, storytelling, illustration, drama and music. His stories are suitable for a range of ages and abilities and he is ideal for schools, museums, libraries, theatres... fields, woodlands or railway stations.


Keith Donnelly [South Yorkshire] specialises in highly interactive stories and songs for children, inviting participation, stretching of imagination and stimulating creativity with every tale and tune. His repertoire is such that he seems to have songs and stories for every imaginable topic (as well as many that you won't have imagined yet!) All his songs, and many of his stories, are accompanied by Keith's unique 'Picture Guitar' and occasionally a didgeridoo). Author of 'I Wish I Was A Monkey' 



Shelley O'Brien [Co Durham] owner and creator of Mad Alice Theatre creates traditional and original stories for audiences aged over 13yrs
